Anxiety Therapy for Kids Teens and adults -Understanding Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety is a natural response to stress, but when it becomes overwhelming and persistent, it can interfere with daily life. At our center, we understand that anxiety disorders are complex and can manifest differently in each individual. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where clients can explore their feelings, learn coping strategies, and build resilience.

Individuals with GAD often anticipate disaster, even when there is no apparent reason for concern. This constant state of worry can lead to physical symptoms such as restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, muscle tension, and sleep disturbances.

Anxiety Therapy for Kids Teens and adults-Our Approach to Anxiety Therapy

The 3-3-3 Rule for Anxiety
One effective strategy we teach our clients is the 3-3-3 rule for managing anxiety. This simple technique helps ground individuals in the present moment and reduce anxiety symptoms. Here’s how it works: Look Around: Name three things you see. Listen: Identify three sounds you hear. Move: Move three parts of your body, such as your fingers, toes, or shoulders. By focusing on these small, manageable tasks, individuals can interrupt the cycle of anxious thoughts and bring their attention back to the present moment.
